Questions we are asked

The things worth knowing before you order, in plain language.

How do I know my ring size?

Measure a ring that already fits the finger you have in mind: take the inside edge-to-edge distance in millimetres and multiply by 3.14 to get the inner circumference, then find that figure on our sizing page. If you are between two sizes, take the larger — a ring that is slightly loose can be worn, one that is slightly tight cannot.

What if the size is wrong when it arrives?

We remake the piece in your size once, at no charge. These are narrow set bands and resizing one risks the stones, so remaking is the safer answer and it is the one we offer rather than a resize we cannot do well.

Is the gold solid?

Yes. Solid gold throughout — never plated, filled or vermeil, and there is no base metal underneath. The gram weight is printed on every product page, which is the figure a plated piece cannot honestly print.

Are the stones certified?

Yes. Every coloured stone is natural, and every diamond is a natural mined diamond — nothing here is lab-grown, simulated or treated to imitate something it is not.

Certification is a separate question. A diamond grading report requires a loose stone of at least 0.15 carats at the major laboratories, and most of these stones are set melee below that floor, so they are not individually certified and we will not pretend otherwise.

Where are the pieces made?

In two workshops, one in Istanbul and one in Hong Kong. Which one made your piece is stated on that piece's own page rather than generalised across the site.

How long does it take?

Seven working days on the bench, and thirteen to sixteen days from order to delivery in total. A little faster inside Europe, a little slower to the United States.

The dispatch date on each product page is counted in working days from the day you are reading it, not quoted as a window. Where a piece is in stock it leaves the next working day.

What does shipping cost?

It is calculated at checkout by destination. Everything travels insured and signed for — we do not offer an uninsured option on a piece at this price.

Can I return it?

Not for a change of mind — every piece is cast after you order it, in your size.

Once per order and within three days of delivery we will resize the piece or issue a credit note against anything else in the collection. Return postage on an exchange is yours and is deducted from the credit note.

Anything wrong with the piece — transit damage or a fault in the making — must be reported within seven days of delivery with photographs. Inside that window we repair or remake it and pay postage both ways. After it, insurance no longer covers the piece and a fault cannot be told apart from wear.

Do you offer engraving?

Not on these bands. They are too narrow to engrave without weakening the shank, and we would rather say so than take the order.

Can I talk to someone before ordering?

Yes — write to enquiries@pheressentials.com. It reaches the people who make the pieces, not a support queue.
