Before you order

Sizing

Every piece is made in your size, so the size is the one thing worth getting right before you order.

Measure a ring you already own

This is the most accurate way to do it at home. Take a ring that fits the finger you have in mind, measure the inside edge to edge across the widest point in millimetres, and multiply by 3.14. That gives you the inner circumference, which is the figure in the last column below.

Inner circumference is the measurement we work from
US UK EU Inner circumference
4 H½ 47 46.8
4½ I½ 48 48.0
5 J½ 49 49.3
5½ K½ 51 50.6
6 L½ 52 51.9
6½ M½ 53 53.1
7 N½ 54 54.4
7½ O½ 56 55.7
8 P½ 57 57.0

If you are between sizes

Take the larger. A ring that is slightly loose can be worn; one that is slightly tight cannot. Tell us in your order note if you are between two sizes and we will make a judgement with you rather than guessing.

Resizing

These are narrow set bands, and a resize risks the stones. Where a size can be corrected safely we will correct it; where it cannot, we remake the piece in your size once, at no charge. Tell us within three days of delivery.

Sizes we make

US 4 to US 8, in half sizes. Write to the workshop about anything outside that range and we will tell you honestly whether the design allows it.

Measure a ring on the screen

Two steps and a bank card. The card sets the scale, because every card on earth is the same size to a hundredth of a millimetre; the circle then reads a ring you already own.

The on-screen measurer needs JavaScript. The printed gauge below does the same job on paper.

At home

Print a sizer

Two ways to find your size with a printer and a pair of scissors. Print at 100%, then check the rectangle against a bank card before you measure anything.

This rectangle is exactly 85.60 by 53.98 mm — the size of a bank card. Lay any card over it. If the card does not cover it edge to edge, set your printer to 100% or Actual size, turn Fit to page off, and print again. Everything below depends on it.

If you have a ring that fits

Lay the ring over the circles until the inside edge of the ring lines up with the edge of a circle. That is your size.

  • Ring size 4 14.9 mm
  • Ring size 4½ 15.28 mm
  • Ring size 5 15.69 mm
  • Ring size 5½ 16.11 mm
  • Ring size 6 16.52 mm
  • Ring size 6½ 16.9 mm
  • Ring size 7 17.32 mm
  • Ring size 7½ 17.73 mm
  • Ring size 8 18.14 mm

If you do not

Cut the strip out along the dashed line, then cut out the small rectangle inside the wide end — that is the slot. Wrap the strip around the base of the finger with the numbers facing out, feed the plain end — the one with no numbers — up through the slot, and pull until the loop is snug but will still come back over the knuckle. Your size is the number standing at the edge of the slot, under the pointer. The long ticks are whole sizes; the short ticks between them are the half sizes. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest.

Between two sizes, take the larger. A ring that is slightly loose can be worn; one that is slightly tight cannot.
