The Making

Nothing is cast until you order it. Here is what happens in the seven working days after you do.

One

Casting

Your size is cut in wax, invested and cast in gold. Nothing exists before this point — the ring begins after the order, which is why we ask for the size up front rather than at the end.

Two

Stone setting

Seats are cut and each stone is set by hand under a microscope. On a band of 1.8 mm there is no margin at all, which is why this is the longest stage of the seven working days.

Three

Finishing and the mark

Filed, pre-polished, polished, then struck with its gold mark inside the band. The mark is the one claim about a piece that stays true if you cut it in half.

Four

Weighing and dispatch

Weighed against the figures published on its product page, checked stone by stone, then boxed and dispatched insured with a signature required.

Why made to order

One of each design is finished and waiting, so if your size happens to match we can send it immediately. Everything else is made for you. It is slower, and it is the reason a piece arrives in your size rather than close to it.
