A brown diamond of 0.31 carats, flanked by white melee. Brown is the most common of the fancy diamond colours and its colour comes from the crystal having been deformed deep in the earth rather than from any impurity. Champagne is the trade's name for the paler end of that range, not a grading term.

GIA issues an individual grading report only for a loose diamond of 0.15 carats or more. The small diamonds in our pieces fall below that, and stones already set cannot be graded at any weight, so none of them carries an individual report and we make no claim that they do. Any colour or clarity shown is graded to GIA terminology by our own gemmologists against the supplier parcel specification, not by a laboratory. Naming the system is itself required, by FTC 16 CFR Part 23.1.

Nothing is cast until you order it. Your size is cut in wax and cast in gold, the stones are set by hand under a microscope, and the ring is filed, polished and struck with its gold mark inside the band before it is weighed against the figures on this page. Around 7 days in Hong Kong.

The bands are one and a half to two millimetres across, so two or three sit on the same finger without crowding it — and narrow enough to wear beside whatever you already own.
